dual monitor setup?
I have 2 desk top pc's, 1 has a dual vga video card,the other a single vga port and 3 monitors. The pc with the dual vga card is running dual monitors now. I want to use dual monitors on the other pc also. Do I need a kvm switch and another dual vga video card or just a kvm switch? I want to do this without manually switching cables by hand each time, of course only 1 pc dual at a time, what do I need, how do I do this? Also is there a way to do this and have a way to expand to a new pc,(vista) in the future, these 2 pc's are xp, thanks
I guess you would need to replace the single video card with a dual head version and then have a KVM to switch the "second" monitor between the two machines.
This will work just as well with Vista as it does with XP.
