Why is my KVM switch giving me problems?
I decided to run two desktops with one monitor,keyboard and mouse.So I purchased a KVM switch (with DVI,USB) and correctly connected all everything.It works except that one of the desktop's mouse courser sticks and stalls.And if I drag an image across the screen it also sticks.I tried swapping cables,reinstalling and the problem still happens.But...if I disconnect the KVM switch,everything works great.The brand name of switch is Airlink.It was inexpensive at $38...Even the salesman said these products get returned more of the time.What is a good quality brand for this switch I need?
I use an IOGEAR KVM switch. I got it at Walmart for $40.
I dont use it for PC-PC though so I cant give you my experiences with that. However, I use it for PC-Xbox360 and I can tell you that it works great.
There is no physical switch on my KVM, you have to press scroll lock twice on the keyboard and it will switch to the next computer, which I think is more convenient.
