Monitor Vga Switch
Vga>component cable on dell 2407wfp monitor?
I recently purchased a Dell 2407wfp monitor to primarily use with my xbox 360. However I also like to use the monitor with the PC.
The problem I have is that I use the 360 vga cable as I prefer it to the component input. To use the PC, I then have to switch vga cables. An annoying process.
Is it possible for me to use a vga>component cable from my pc input and use the monitors component input, allowing me to leave the 360 vga cable attached (I can the use the PIP,PBP function as well with component).
If it's possible, what sort of resolution can I expect with the component? This monitor is 1920x1200 native.
Its an old PC with old video card so therefore no dvi/s-video etc. Vga only. Unfortunately I am not upgrading anything at this time.

I Just seen a dual cable on www.geeks.com and it was cheap
go check it out on the home page click on cables then in the sub menu that pops up click monitors
the only problem is if you turn on both machines the images will get blurred or mixed up so only have one running at a time
they also have KVM switches that will work better
but will cost s a lot more
